Hey Archie, Check out Southern River Runners - it's a group of passionate kayakers down south. I know a friend who goes around with them.
Hey ... does anyone know sites where one can go Kayaking around Bangalore?
Kayaking is a recreational sport in which people paddle small, specialized boats. India offers some of the world's most stunning settings for kayaking. From coastal mangroves and tranquil waterways to thundering rivers with Class V rapids gushing from the mighty peaks of the Himalayas, there are plenty of kayaking destinations to explore. Depending on one's appetite for adventure there are kayaking tours all over the country from the beaches of Goa to the misty mountains of Arunachal Pradesh.
I agree with the Koh Tao suggestion. I went diving all around the Thailand islands, the training at Koh Tao stands out!
It's whole other experience! The whole world of Finding Nemo comes alive and swims around you!
Thanks a ton, Kalyan. I may get in touch with you soon!
Hey guys I m a newbie to itch list but a long time adventure seeker. I have done PADI Open Water Diving and Advanced OWD courses on a small island called Koh tao, Thailand. I can provide end to end information and planning a trip. This island is one of the best palaces to learn scuba diving. Just google Koh Tao to know why. I have learnt with the school Davy Jones Locker; http://www.scubadivekohtao.com/. I want to go back hopefully soon to do a 2 month long dive master course. Chao
@Jeetendra, there are plenty depending on where you want to dive. Just ensure the agency you go through is PADI certified. If you know the location where you want to dive, I am happy to recommend an opeartor there.
Are there some registered agencies through which Scuba can be done
Goa also - though it's not beautiful as Andamans
And you can do it in India - Tarkali in Maharashtra, Netrani in Karnataka, Andaman and Nicobar, Lakshadweep islands
In case you didn't know, it is not necessary to know swimming to do an introductory guided scuba dive
"There’s nothing wrong with enjoying looking at the surface of the ocean, except, when you finally see what goes on underwater, you’ll realize that you’ve been missing the whole point of the ocean. Staying on the surface all the time is like going to the circus and staring at the outside of the tent. “ – Dave Barry.
Good luck, Farnando! Let us know how it goes in Sikkim
I am planning to do in in Sikkim
Hey Vibin, Bir is a great site in Himachal!

Anyone can do a tandem flight where you are strapped on with another person who actually has the controls. But if you have 4 days and a little courage - you should do the course and then fly solo! That's when you feel like a bird..
Have you ever wished for wings so as to fly? The answer is paragliding. Almost anyone with a strong heart can try tandem paragliding where you will be strapped to an expert as your soar high. And with a 4-5 days training it is possible to take a flight by yourself.
Potential birds can head to Nirvana Adventures In Kamshet (Maharshtra), a paragliding school and flying club that offers paragliding courses, rides and weekend flying trips. Other popular locations for paragliding are Billing, Himachal Pradesh, Manali, Nandi Hills, Kanjapuri (Shivalim Range), Yelagiri and Tamil Nadu.
