Thank you Archie K. Sorry for late reply. Will try to be in shape for June. :-)Archie K
Hey Parikshit, Typically the season starts in June. So if it's your first trip you could go in the peak season (June to September) which are the summer months. But as a next trip, Ladakh in winters has it's own charm - though you gotto be physically prepared for that.Parikshit S
Hi guys! I just joined here and when does actual season starts to Ladhak?... Been to Amarnath... But I guess Ladhak is completely different. Any tips to share?Maisha S

Thanks @Elita! This was useful for me tooElita A
Hi @VeraGupta, It's great that you want to visit Ladakh. And yes, you have to give yourself time to acclimatise. One way would be to NOT fly directly to Leh. You could take the road from Srinagar via Kargil and reach Leh. It's an extremely beautiful journey that does not cause any motion sickness (mostly). However if you're flying in you will be advised to not exert yourself on day 1. This includes restricted mobility and not walking around too much. As long as you do that and stay constantly hydrated you will be okay. Medicines such as Diamox are generally prescribed. But if you don't have a history of either asthma or bronchitis you needn't have to worry. But do take the necessary precautions. Also a good time to visit is between June and September. So you can plan accordingly.Vera Gupta
I really wanna visit Ladakh but I have heard that people face acclimatisation issues … Can anyone advise what I can do before a trip.. any medicines to be carried/ precautions to be taken ...tushar sapariya
